UNOPS supports partners to build a better future by providing services that increase the efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of peace building, humanitarian and development projects. Mandated as a central resource of the United Nations, UNOPS provides sustainable project management, procurement and infrastructure services to a wide range of governments, donors and United Nations organizations.
The New York Portfolios Office (NYPO) supports the United Nations Secretariat, as well as other New York-based United Nations organizations, bilateral and multilateral partners in the delivery of UNOPS mandate in project management, infrastructure management, and procurement management
The Sustainable Development Cluster (SDC) supports diverse partners with their peacebuilding, humanitarian and development operations. It was formed by combining the following portfolios: Grants Management Services (GMS), UN Technology Support Services (UNTSS), Development and Special Initiatives Portfolio (DSIP) It provides Services to partners' programmes that are designed, structured, and managed with a global perspective and primarily serving partners that are headquartered in New York. The SDC has a footprint of approximately 125 countries.

The requirement of this role is to work with the various partners leading complex engagements, translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, and ensure data-driven decision-making across end-to-end supply chain processes. This role sits at the intersection of process, data, and technology—driving measurable improvements through business process reengineering, solution design, and data management.

Lead business analysis for supply chain management functions including demand and supply planning, forecasting, pipeline visibility, inventory and warehouse management and procurement and order management.
Facilitate stakeholder consultations and consensus-building across organizations, country focal points, government counterparts and implementing partners.
Develop and Strengthen data governance frameworks and data quality controls across master data and key SCM datasets.
Develop and Implement supply chain information management systems for automation and improvement of supply chain management.
Perform and support requirements gathering, configuration, and enhancement of supply chain information systems (e.g., LMIS, ERP, WMS, pipeline management tools).
Work with ICT teams to ensure system interoperability and compliance with IT standards.
Develop analytics solutions, dashboards, and reports to improve visibility into supply chain performance, gaps, and risks.
Conduct root-cause analysis and support the implementation of corrective actions.
Lead user training, knowledge transfer, SOP development, and documentation.
Support strengthening of local institutional capacity for planning and data stewardship.
Promote continuous improvement and end-user adoption of new digital solutions.

- Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) preferably in one of the following: Computer Science, Data/Information Systems, Supply Chain, Business, Data/Information Systems, Engineering or related field with 7 years of relevant experience.
- PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent Project Management certification is required.
Desired: Certifications
PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent is highly desirable
Supply Chain SCOR-P certification is highly desirable
One or more Project and IT Risk Management Certifications are highly desirable
Business Intelligence Certifications are highly desirable

Required:
Relevant experience is defined as experience in: Supply chain management in humanitarian, non-for-profit, public health, development, or government context.
A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in project management, or information systems management, or change management and/or business analysis is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience managing one or more of different components of either deployment or an implementation of a large-scale ERP project(s).
Experience with one or more of the following solutions and or technology such as ERP solutions, APS tools (e.g., SAP, IBP, Oracle, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder), SQL, and visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau).
Desired:
Extensive experience in implementing ERP supply chain management, logistics systems, inventory management solutions, and business process transformation is desirable.
Operational experience managing large scale projects in multifaceted environments is Highly desirable.
Extensive knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as Oracle, SAP and its modules, particularly supply chain related, is highly desirable.
Extensive knowledge of business intelligence and data analytics, with heavy emphasis on data management is highly desirable.
Experience in the development of solutions for the automation of repetitive tasks that are coordinated across distinct groups to improve productivity, service quality and control is desirable.
Experience with reporting technologies and performance monitoring is desirable.
Prior experience and ability to manage large, diverse teams is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are desirable.
Strong analytical and digital skills are desirable
