Na Argentina, o UNOPS fortalece as instituições públicas ao fornecer assistência técnica em planejamento, aquisições e supervisão de projetos de infraestrutura — particularmente em edifícios públicos — e ao desenvolver capacidades em compras públicas, com foco em inovação tecnológica.

No Brasil, onde o UNOPS atua desde 2012, o escritório colabora com agências da ONU, instituições financeiras e órgãos governamentais em todos os níveis para entregar serviços em saúde, educação, urbanização, reabilitação social, PPPs e fortalecimento institucional. Based in Brazil, the UNOPS Southern Cone Multi-Country Office (SCMCO) also oversees operations in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, supporting national priorities and development goals across the subregion. In Argentina, UNOPS strengthens public institutions by providing technical assistance in planning, procurement, and oversight of infrastructure projects—particularly in public buildings—and building capacity in public procurement, with a focus on technological innovation. In Brazil, where UNOPS has operated since 2012, the office collaborates with UN agencies, financial institutions, and government bodies at all levels to deliver services in health, education, urbanization, social rehabilitation, PPPs, and institutional strengthening. UNOPS has played a key role in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and currently manages 17 active projects across the country. O Engenheiro/a Civil (Especialista em Impermeabilização) deverá incorporar as melhores práticas em design técnico e gestão da construção ao longo de todo o ciclo do projeto, devendo manter estrita conformidade com os padrões de Saúde, Segurança, Social e Ambiental (HSSE) e com os requisitos de Proteção contra Exploração, Abuso e Assédio Sexual (PSEAH).

O titular da função também demonstra forte expertise técnica, gestão proativa de recursos e capacidade de assegurar integridade, transparência e coordenação eficaz entre as partes interessadas em todas as atividades de engenharia civil.

The Civil Engineer (Waterproofing Specialist) will support the review of design and construction activities, ensuring that projects are on budget and meet the highest quality standards.

The Civil Engineer (Waterproofing Specialist) will incorporate best practices in technical design and construction management throughout the entire project cycle, maintaining strict compliance with Health, Safety, Social and Environmental (HSSE) standards and Protection against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH) requirements.

The incumbent will also demonstrate strong technical expertise, proactive resource management, and the ability to ensure integrity, transparency, and effective coordination among stakeholders in all civil engineering activities.
