About the Country/Multi-Country Office
Based in Peru, the Andean Multi-Country Office (ANMCO) also oversees UNOPS operations in Ecuador and Colombia. In both Peru and Ecuador, UNOPS primarily provides technical assistance to strengthen local government capacities and improve public service delivery. Active in Peru since 1995, UNOPS has supported a wide array of initiatives across sectors such as health, education, justice, governance, environment, transportation, agriculture, and recreation—contributing to public sector modernization and the efficient, transparent use of public resources. Over the past 32 years, this collaboration has mobilized nearly USD 4 billion in public investments, delivering estimated savings of 20% and supporting progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals. In Ecuador, UNOPS works with national partners to enhance access to essential services, with a focus on health, urban mobility, and sustainable development, through public infrastructure modernization and the strategic procurement of goods and services.

Se requiere que la persona tenga experiencia, conocimiento en procesos de contratación que involucren fondos públicos.

El Asistente de Adquisiciones es responsable de completar procesos generales que requieren una comprensión completa de un conjunto de reglas; ejecutar transacciones básicas replicables, asegurando el cumplimiento de las políticas y procedimientos de UNOPS.

1. Apoyo en Procesos de Adquisiciones
- Procesar transacciones estándar (ej., órdenes de compra, solicitudes de cotización) en total cumplimiento con las reglas establecidas.
- Proporcionar apoyo administrativo y técnico aplicando procedimientos conocidos.
- Cargar y verificar datos en los sistemas corporativos (ej., ERP).
- Responder a consultas rutinarias explicando las reglas y procedimientos estándar.
- Identificar y señalar los problemas o discrepancias no estándar a un supervisor para su resolución.
- Crear y formatear documentos estándar, hojas de cálculo y presentaciones.
- Mantener y actualizar bases de datos o archivos con precisión.
2. Gestión de Documentación
- Mantener un sistema de archivo organizado y actualizado para todos los documentos relacionados con las adquisiciones.
- Asegurar que todos los documentos estén completos y cumplan con los requisitos de UNOPS.
- Preparar y distribuir documentos a las partes interesadas según sea necesario.
3. Apoyo Logístico
- Coordinar la logística de las adquisiciones, incluyendo el seguimiento de las entregas y la resolución de problemas relacionados con el transporte.
- Mantener contacto con los proveedores para asegurar la entrega oportuna de los bienes y servicios.
4. Cumplimiento Normativo
- Asegurar que todas las adquisiciones se realicen de acuerdo con las políticas y procedimientos de UNOPS, así como con las leyes y regulaciones locales.
- Participar en auditorías internas y externas según sea necesario.

- For staff positions only, UNOPS reserves the right to appoint a candidate at a lower level than the advertised level of the post.
- For retainer contracts, you must complete a few mandatory courses (they take around 4 hours to complete) in your own time, before providing services to UNOPS. Refreshers or new mandatory courses may be required during your contract. Please note that you will not receive any compensation for taking courses and refreshers.
