The AI Centre of Excellence is being established with the ambition of rolling out a robust AI infrastructure and innovative AI-based solutions, ensuring scalability for future growth and technological advancements.This position provides the analytical and documentation backbone for the AI CoE - gathering requirements, measuring adoption, and maintaining the knowledge base that ensures AI solutions are well-understood, properly documented, and continuously improved based on evidence.

Under the supervision of the AI Adoption Coordinator, the AI Business Analyst provides the analytical foundation for the AI Centre of Excellence. This role elicits and documents business requirements, maps workflows, analyses adoption data, and maintains the knowledge base that underpins solution design, rollout decisions, and continuous improvement.

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related fields with 4 years of relevant experience OR
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in any of the above or related fields with 2 years of relevant experience is required

Relevant experience is work in business analysis, data analysis, or related areas. (2 years with a Master's, 4 years with a Bachelor's)
Experience eliciting business requirements through interviews, workshops, or surveys, and documenting them as user stories, process flows, or functional specifications.
Experience mapping business processes or workflows, identifying inefficiencies or automation opportunities
Experience producing analytical reports, dashboards, or data visualisations to inform decision-making
Experience in developing technical documentation, user guides, or training materials.
Familiarity with AI/ML platforms or tools (e.g., Azure AI, Google Vertex, OpenAI APIs)
Experience working with stakeholders across multiple locations, offices, or cultural contexts.
Desired
Experience tracking performance metrics, adoption data, or KPIs.
Experience with AI solution implementation in international development or humanitarian contexts.
Experience with organizational change management or technology adoption programs.

- For staff positions only, UNOPS reserves the right to appoint a candidate at a lower level than the advertised level of the post.
- For retainer contracts, you must complete a few mandatory courses (they take around 4 hours to complete) in your own time, before providing services to UNOPS. Refreshers or new mandatory courses may be required during your contract. Please note that you will not receive any compensation for taking courses and refreshers.
